The flexible packaging industry is booming, with more than $30 billion in sales each year. As with all packaging, coding is an essential step in the production process, and if your company uses flex packs and you need TTO printing, we want to share a bit of information about the FlexPackPRO®.
Everyone is looking for a cost-effective coding solution, and the FlexPackPRO® provides you with quality you would expect from a more expensive printer, but with a much lower price tag. In fact, the FlexPackPRO® systems tend to be 25% to 40% cheaper than other TTO printing systems of comparable quality.
The maintenance-free design also translates to less downtime for your operation, which is yet another savings. Additionally, the FlexPackPRO® includes an 18-month warranty from the date of installation, which is the longest standard warranty in the TTO printing industry.
The FlexPackPRO® can provide TTO printing for a wide variety of products in flexible packaging. This includes flex packs for fruits and vegetables, for candy, chips & pretzels, frozen foods, coffee, pet food or just about anything else. These rugged, durable printers can handle harsh environments and easily integrate into most vertical form, fill & seal machinery and horizontal flow wrapper machines as well as thermoform, tray sealing and automatic bagging machinery.
There are several different FlexPackPRO® models to consider. With the 130 Series of 32mm-width TTO coders, you have the option of selecting the 130i, which features an intermittent printer mode, or the 130c, which features a continuous printer mode. Both offer a print resolution of 300 dpi with an easy-to-use 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen interface. The 130i can provide a single line of text at about 300 packs per minute, while the 130c can provide about 400 packs per minute, but, of course, these coders can provide multiple lines of text as well as barcodes. Both printers are compact and lightweight, at just 12.3 pounds.
The FlexPackPRO® 210 Series of 53mm-width TTO printers include two with intermittent printer modes, the 210e and 210i. For a continuous printer mode, you can select the 210c. The single-line print speed for the 210e is estimated at 400 packs per minute, the 210i provides a single-line speed of about 350 packs per minute, while the 210c boasts an impressive single line speed of about 500 packs per minute. The 210e includes a 4.3-inch color LED touchscreen user interface, while the 210i and 210c models include a 7-inch color LED touchscreen user interface.
The 420 Series features a 107 mm print width, and the 420i provides an intermittent printer mode, while the 420c provides a continuous printer mode. As with all other FlexPackPRO® coders, these printers include a print resolution of 300 dpi. The 420i has a single-line print speed of about 200 packs per minute, while the 420c has print speed of about 250 packs per minute. Both 420 Series printer types include a 7-inch color LCD touchscreen user interface.
All FlexPackPRO® TTO printers include ProCode™ Design Software which makes it easy to create both simple codes, such as “Use By” and “Best By” dates as well as more complex 2D barcodes and graphics. Multiple graphic formats are supported, as well as flexible date and time formats. Text blocks, shape drawing and logo insertion also are included with this software, which has a 5000+ unique image file memory.
