Got Flex Packs? We Have An Affordable Industrial Coder

As your business expands, your need for fast and efficient coding solutions also increases. If you’ve put off purchasing an industrial printer, but you’ve greatly increased your sales volume, we have an easy-to-use, reliable and affordable industrial printer that can make coding a breeze.

With flexible packaging, you have several options for coding. In the past hot stamping was the most commonly used option, but it has several disadvantages, all of which lead to extended downtime.

For instance, with hot stamp coding, it takes time to cool the coder when you need to switch codes. You also have to update the code one character at a time, which not only takes up time, it also means you could make an error at any time. Additionally, the quality of hot stamping is dubious at best, and you want your codes to be clear and easy for customers to read.

The best solution would be to use a thermal transfer overprinting (TTO) coder. These printers quickly affix codes to all shapes and sizes of flexible packaging. You can print anything you might need, including bar codes, variable data, multiple lines of codes, graphics and logos quickly and efficiently and with an amazing level of quality.

TTO printing was developed specifically for the flexible packaging industry, which now accounts for more than 20 percent of the U.S. packaging market. With so much demand for flexible packaging, it just makes sense that a technology would come along to make life a little easier for the industry.

At PrintJet, our solution for TTO printing is the FlexPackPRO®, which offers reliable, high-quality printing at an affordable price. In fact, FlexPackPRO® systems typically cost 25 to 40% less than TTO coders from other top competitors.

At PrintJet, we have three FlexPackPRO® options, depending on your needs. All three options are built to last, crafted out of rugged aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and stainless steel. The long-lasting printheads require little maintenance and are set on self-leveling mounts to ensure quality coding on every run, from the first run of the day to the last and beyond.

The 130 Series industrial printers offer a maximum print area of up to 32×125 mm, depending on which model you select. These 130 Series coders include a print resolution of 300 dpi with a print speed that ranges from 50 to 550mm per second. Additionally, one model features an intermittent printer mode, while the other provides continuous printing. Both 130 Series printers include a user interface with a 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen.

The 210 Series industrial printers also provide a print resolution of 300 dpi, and you can opt for a printer with an intermittent mode or continuous mode. You also can opt for a model with a 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen or a 7-inch touchscreen. The 210e and 210i offer a print speed of 50 to 450 mm per second, while the 210c offers a print speed of 35 to 800 mm per second.

The 420 Series TTO coders offers a maximum print area of 107x75mm or 107x125mm, depending on which model you select, and one model offers intermittent printing while the other offers continuous printing. Again, depending on the model you select, the 420 Series printers have a print speed of 50 to 400mm or 50 to 600 mm per second. Both models include a 7-inch color LCD touchscreen.

All FlexPackPRO® models feature ProCode® coding design software. This easy-to-use software supports multiple graphic formats as well as flexible date and time formats. You can create text blocks, insert a logo and much more.
