At PrintJet, we love ink and that’s not an exaggeration. Providing customers with high-quality, affordable replacement inks and parts, such as a Domino® part or Domino® inks, is at the heart of our business. While you might need plenty of ink for your business, you might not know that much about this precious substance. Read on and you can learn a bit about coding inks in general.
1. Ink: More Precious Than Diamonds?
When you think about the substances on earth that come with the highest price tags, ink might not spring to mind immediately, but it probably should. Few substances on earth are as expensive as ink, and while it is less expensive per gallon than horseshoe crab blood and King Cobra venom, black printer ink averages about $2,600 per gallon.
Of course, here at PrintJet, our goal is to reduce your ink costs substantially and while we can provide you with great deals on Domino® inks, Videojet® inks and other brands, we won’t be able to help you lower your costs for horseshoe crab blood and snake venom. By the way, horseshoe crab blood is used to test certain drugs and the snake venom is used as a painkiller.
2. There’s An Ink For Every Application
One of the reasons why ink is so expensive, is that each type of ink needs to be formulated carefully depending on the application. Your Domino® inks, as well as all brands of coding inks, are created specifically for the coder you own, but also for the product itself. If you need Domino® inks that print directly on eggshells, for instance, that is an entirely different type of ink than you would use on a computer cable or a packaging box.
Additionally, the conditions in various production lines can vary greatly. For instance, you might be in a factory where very cold temperatures are required or perhaps you are in setting that is warmer with higher humidity. All of this, as well as your product and packaging materials, might be a factor when selecting Domino® inks as well as when you select coding equipment in general.
3. There Are Periodicals About Ink
If you love ink as much as we do, you might wish to consider purchasing a subscription to a periodical dedicated to all things ink. Ink World, for instance, includes information about new types of ink, the prices of ink, changes in regulations, market reports and much more. One issue might discuss new Domino® inks heading to market while another issue will discuss the rise of pigment prices. There’s even a national convention for ink manufacturers, put on each year by the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers.
4. A Domino® Part & Domino® Ink Doesn’t Have To Cost A Fortune
Since the late 1970s, Domino® has created a variety of quality coding equipment and many of our customers use Domino® coders. At PrintJet, we offer many different products and services for those who use Domino® printers and coders, including providing everything from a Domino® part to quality Domino® inks. Read on to learn more about what types of Domino®-related services we offer.
Domino® Inks
Ink is expensive, but you don’t have to pay sky-high prices for your Domino® inks. We have a great alterative – purchase our generic Domino® inks instead. Our prices are far lower than OEM prices, but we offer the same high quality you expect from inks purchased directly from the manufacturer.
