Facts About Coder Ink & Domino® Inks

While water arguably is the most important liquid on earth, ink is another one of the world’s most important and highly used liquids. Just take a minute and look around you and you will see that inks are used by virtually every industry. Every company in the world uses ink every day for printing receipts and invoices, for documents and, in the case of our unique clients, for coding and marking.

It might interest you to know that ink is one of the 10 most expensive items you can buy. A few other of the top ten include snake and scorpion venom, human blood, insulin, certain illegal drugs that shall not be named and Chanel No. 5. Obviously, in many cases, the reason for the high cost is due to its importance and the difficulty in obtaining or creating the liquid. When it comes to ink, such as Domino® ink, the production process is quite complicated and each ink must be produced carefully to ensure quality printing.

Additionally, if you need a Domino ink, you will need a type of ink that works on the specific type of product you have that needs coding. Inks that can be used for food and beverage products and these must be approved for use on food products. Inks also must be capable of printing on specific types of surfaces, such as a porous surface or perhaps a curved surface. The materials used in your products or packaging also is a factor, as you may need inks that work well on glass or perhaps PVC or metal.

We serve a wide range of industries and this includes food companies, beverage companies, pharmaceutical firms, retail manufacturers and much more. One of the ways we serve clients is by providing low-cost, alternative inks and we have inks for nearly every brand of coding equipment, including Domino® inks.

In a very general sense, the “ingredients” of inks, including Domino® ink, includes a dye or a pigment that is dissolved in a solvent. However, we also can add other substances to these inks that improve their overall quality. If you need Domino® inks, we have general purpose, dye-based inks for your continuous inkjet (CIJ) Domino® coder. These are ideal for many different applications and we offer a myriad of colors and solvents.

Our alternative CIJ Domino® inks can be used on many different surfaces, including PVC and other types of plastic, metal, laminated paper and glass. If you need to print on darker substrates, we have specially formulated pigmented inks in light blue, gray, silver and white. We also have micro-pigmented inks if you need vivid coding in shades of red, orange, yellow and green.

But we don’t stop at producing general alternative Domino inks; we also formulate ink for many unique ink applications. If you need non-transfer inks for wire or cable coding, we have that. If you need UV curable or UV readable inks, we have these as well. We also have alcohol resistant inks, thermochromic inks and much more.

No matter what type of Domino ink you might need, we are sure to have it and at much lower prices than you will find anywhere. If you have a Domino coder and need Domino ink, give us a call today. We will take all of your coding needs into consideration and provide you with low-cost, high-quality replacement inks and make-up that will save you hundreds of dollars (or perhaps thousands) each year.
